Profile

To setup the profile page, which I am using as the home page, create a page called ‘profile’ and assign it the ‘Profile’ page template. Make sure you set the home page in ‘Settings’ -> ‘Reading’ to this page, as well as set the appropriate category ID’s in the chapter26 options panel (ie the Work/Portfolio category, Profile Feature category, etc..). These will be created automatically if you did the import, but will not be assiged in the admin options – you will need to browse over to the categories section, check with the numeric id is, and set it in the chapter 26 options panel for each manually.

If you did not do the xml import of the demo content, you will need to create a category for your Work, a category called Profile Feature, and a category called Testimonials, and assign the ids in the chapter26 admin options panel.

Make sure and fill out the ‘Find Me’, ‘Where?’, and ‘My Bio’ text in the chapter26 options panel as well. The logo images are set in the General Settings section of the options panel, with the ability to turn off the logo transition, change its’ speed, etc… If you turn off the logo transition, the first logo image will be used as your default static logo. Due to the transition effect, transparent logos do not work – so if you want to use it, make sure you use two logos with matching background colors to the bg color you use. If you disable the transition, you can obviously use transparent bg’s with the logo.

Right Column Content

The right column will be auto-populated with content from your portfolio

Feature section under the logo

The section is populated from the Profile Feature category. Simply create this category and create a post – then upload a couple images to it (do not insert them into the post, just upload them) and it will auto-pull them and show them.

Footer Content

By default, the footer on the home page is the only footer that shows featured content from the blog. However, you can turn this on for all pages in the options panel if you’d like. I just happened to like it a bit more minimal on the internal pages, but it’s up to you! The footer logo is managed like the other logos in the options panel of the theme.
